Founded in 2013, VO Atlanta enters its 13th year in 2026 as a place where education, connection, and community continue to thrive. Since 2015, VO Peeps and VO BOSS have proudly supported this mission by awarding scholarships that help voice talent gain the training, access, and sense of belonging needed to move their careers forward.

The VO BOSS Carol Joy Memorial Scholarship was established in loving memory of Carol Joy Knizek, following her passing in 2016, shortly after attending VO Atlanta as a scholarship recipient. Carol Joy was a bright light in our community—deeply caring, endlessly supportive, and passionate about uplifting others. Naming this scholarship in her honor ensures her spirit and generosity continue to inspire and support voice talent for years to come.

Important: Only the first 50 complete submissions will be accepted for this scholarship. Once we reach 50 qualified applications, the portal will close.

About the Scholarship

The VO BOSS VO Atlanta Carol Joy Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is one of two scholarships awarded by VO BOSS for VO Atlanta 2026. The VO BOSS VO Atlanta Carol Joy Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Carol Joy Knizek and supports voice talent through access, education, and community.

Each recipient will receive:

ONE (1) General Admission Pass to VO Atlanta 2026
Full access to all conference panels, breakout sessions, and official networking events
(Please note: X-Sessions are not included with this scholarship)

General Admission Value: $779

Who Can Apply (Please Read Carefully)

Applicants must agree to the following:

Must be 18 years of age or older to apply (or have permission from the Scholarship Committee)
If you are already registered for VO Atlanta 2026 and you win, your admission will be credited toward VO Atlanta 2027
Must not have received a prior VO Peeps or VO BOSS Scholarship to VO Atlanta
Must demonstrate a passion for voiceover performance and a financial need for this scholarship
Students, veterans, and disabled persons are encouraged to apply
Aspiring and part-time talent are eligible
Applicants agree to allow their story and any submitted files and/or photos to be published in all media
Winners must accept or decline the award within 2 days of notification
If a recipient declines, another applicant will be selected
All awarded products and services have no cash value and may not be exchanged
