The dubbing workshop with Jessica Blue was wonderful! Jessica brought actual shows with the dubbing lines so each participant could actually "dub" a section of a show, get feedback, then try it again and get brief feedback. It gave a sense of how quickly one needs to read the scene, read the words, read the actor's face, act and voice - all at once. Jessica gave tips on all of these in general for dubbing plus specific direction/coaching for each person based on their reads. It was fantastic!

I was in the 2 hour group session on 7-16-25 : "Authentic Connection In Commercials" with Kelly Moscinski. Super informative. Being relatable, having an opinion, taking risks, and remembering that the first 3-5 seconds is key. A fun class and awesome teacher.

These classes are excellent!! I attended the workshop with Luanne Regis this past Wednesday. The scripts were challenging and currently airing spots. Luanne's direction was encouraging while imparting key points that casting might be considering that might get your audition noticed. This episode with Jessica Blue gave me a whole new appreciation for dubbing. Watching the film, matching your words to theirs, and giving an acting performance all at once?! I really didn't know much about dubbing, so hearing all that goes into it, I realized it requires a whole new type of training on top of voiceover training.

Thank you for for hosting and producing the VO Demolition event. I throughly enjoyed and appreciated the format-- combining a review of an audition with the element of competition and the vulnerability of putting it all out there for everyone to see makes it not only entertaining but incredibly educational (as long as one has a growth mindset). The tangible feedback you provided is valuable as voiceover often feels like reading/screaming/performing into the void, so it's fantastic to have some real things to focus on coming out of the experience.
