Theatre of the Mind with Melique Berger

Melique Berger, creator of The Art of the Pivot, has added a new component to her method called Theatre of the Mind. She will be teaching how to block your characters as we do on stage as well as providing tools to work through a full character breakdown and script analysis of character.

About Melique:

Melique Berger is a Hollywood Voice Over Icon. As a Black, Jewish, and Queer woman with a professional acting career spanning over 5 decades. She has been a staple of the Voiceover community for nearly 40 years. Melique is a 5-time Nominee on the ONE VOICE AWARDS, and 2023 winner of BEST FEMALE ANIMATION ACTOR, As well as the 2023 Nominee for BEST ACTOR, BEST BODY OF WORK for The SOVAS 2023. She is well known for her notorious one -liner “YOU DON’T KNOW ME” as Mrs. Pancakes in the Emmy Award Winning show Rick and Morty. A breakout star as the role of “Coffee” in Anime’s beloved “COWBOY BEE-BOP”.

And her list of credits are like reading a phonebook (if you remember what those are) Melique is currently voicing one of the proudest characters of her career, as she has entered the POKEMON FRANCHISE, in “POKEMON HORIZONS” streaming now on Netflix as the character “RHYME” . RHYME is the only one of 3 Black female gym leaders/trainers, and the only Ghost Type Trainer hailing from the MONTONAVERA Region. She is also a battle rapper with powers like no other. Melique has also developed her own voice over acting technique “THE ART OF THE PIVOT” ©, which is the sister technique of her beloved Agent and business partner Portia Scott’s “METHOD IN THE MIC, THE ACTORS TOOLKIT” © with their company “INDIGO VOICES, PATH TO VO”. Melique’s goal is to keep cracking the glass ceiling of diversity and inclusion in VO as a Director, and Producer of Animation and Commercial Demos, as well as Coaching and Mentoring voiceover actors with her company of 16 years “BERGER’S REELS LA” and “HAUS OF BERGER” her 16-year-old Biweekly workout virtual workout group.

Melique has also now branched out and joined forces with Matt Jonas of Reaper Films as together they have big plans for the future of adult animation with their first of many collaborations.
